Child molestation can be stopped. The fact of the matter is that it is not stopping. I believe that the most effective way to decrease child abuse from occuring is to decrease or eliminate the possibilities of someone being able to cause harm to a child. Anyone that has been a past offender or possible offender should not have uncontrolled or unsupervised access to a vulnerable child or to any child. Child molestors should not be allowed to live in a society that has children in it, but unfortunately that is not the case because there are already many living there.

Child molestation has increased drastically in the United States and in other parts of the world. When children are sexually abused, it takes away their feeling of innocence. They begin to feel that they are not loved and feel betrayed. Child molestation is a horrendous crime that is continuously spreading across the world. Both female and male children are victims of molestation. Child molestation is handled differently in different countries. Some take it as a very serious crime and others treat it as though it was a misdemeanor. The victims try to avoid dealing with the memories of their abuse, which will only hurt them later on down the road. Molestation against minors can cause life-long scars by damaging their undeveloped bodies and minds.
